EllaCycle
TerraCycle and Ella's Kitchen® have partnered to create EllaCycle, a free recycling programme for any brand of baby food pouches and Ella’s Kitchen’s snack wrappers, and a fundraising opportunity for participants. Find out more information here.

TerraCycle® and KP Snacks® have partnered to create a free recycling programme for nuts, popcorn, crisps and pretzels packets. Empties Please [Ink]
The scheme is really simple and easy to run…Empties Please will collect your used ink cartridges and donate the money raised to the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation or a charity of your own choice.
- We supply you with a recycle bin and starter pack
- You choose ‘Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation’ OR a charity of your own choice
- There are posters to display in and around your business and offices
- Once your bin is full contact ‘Empties Please’ to collect it free of charge and drop off a new recycle bin
- We process the cartridges at our warehouse
- We send you a certificate and make the payment directly to your good cause

In 2011 BIC, in partnership with TerraCycle, launched a programme to recycle all used writing instruments, whether or not they are BIC® branded, turning them into new useful products such as benches, pencil pots, etc. Both free and voluntary, this programme enables schools who are willing to participate the opportunity to launch a collection in their establishments.
This initiative is not only a way to raise awareness and take responsible action for the environment but it’s also a charitable gesture where 2p per writing instrument is collected and donated to a charity. The charity is chosen by the collecting team, or the money can be donated directly to finance an educational project.
Recycle Plastic to Make Your School Fantastic!

3. Collect as much accepted waste as possible and send it to TerraCycle®
Cash 4 Cans - Recycle Aluminium Cans
Not only does recycling aluminium cans help the environment, but it can also be used to raise funds for yourself, a charity or community project.
How does it work?
- As a guide, the current average price paid for aluminium cans (as of November 2016) is around 40-50p per kg. However, the price does vary across metal merchants, so make sure to check.
- There are recycling centres and scrap dealers all across the UK that will pay for a bundle of aluminium cans.
- To cut down on metal thefts, since 2012 scrap metal dealers are not allowed to give paper cash for metal, but can pay by electronic transfer or cheque.
- Once the recycling centre has the cans, they will be sent for recycling, where they’ll be made into new aluminium products.

Happy School Bag- Clothing recycling
At Happy School Bag we offer schools the opportunity to raise funds and at the same time to help our environment by keeping valuable and reusable resources out of landfill. We specialise in collecting and buying quality second hand clothes, working together with the pupils, parents and teachers to fundraise, recycle and educate. The scheme is suited for schools from playgroups to colleges as well as other organisations. This cost free programme actively promotes recycling at school and encourages children to become involved in waste reduction.
At the moment we pay £0.60 per Kg when you book 1 collection and we will pay *£0.65 per kilo when you book 4 collections in advance.
