Early Years Local Offer response
- Systems and strategies we have in place to identify children that may require additional support
I would identify children that may require additional support thought the observation assessment and planning. I use a very welllnow online system called tapestry that not only allow all of us to assess it but the parents as well. This then creates a more holistic picture of the child not only in the setting but at home too. This system as so has a very good progress tracking which clear shows me and the parents where the child is.
- How we identify and support children's learning and development needs
As said above through observing the child and building up a picture of them is the best way of identifying needs. I also use a keyworkers system of which the child has a better sense of belonging but in this environment we are lucky with a small amount of children, three adults the children receive proseional personal care.
- Links we have to other agencies
I have strong policies in place. I addend regular training to ensure I have the lastest information to meet the needs of all children effectively.
- How we support children transferring to school
We work closely with the local schools to ensure a smooth transition is obtained. They have regular outings and also meetings in the setting to familiarise with the environment and surroundings. I also complete transition reports to the class teacher on entry to school and I formation share what is nessary wit her the parents permission.

Trevassack is a magical, peaceful smallholding set between Garras and Goonhilly downs. We are opposite Trevassack Lake. On the farm we have a range of animals; Chickens, sheep, pigs, horses and dogs. The house itself is a traditional farm house which offers a good sized space for indoor play and activities. Our immediate outdoor space consists of an all weather patio (for bike/trike/ride on driving, sandpit and other activities) and secured/enclosed grass garden (which offers slides/swings/activity tables) and soon to be a big climbing area. We have a beautiful growing/allotment area and we encourage children to grow and learn about how we get our food.

I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder (Graded Outstanding April 2022), working closely with my mother in law - who is an Ofsted outstanding childminder also. We live on a beautiful 15 acre small holding on the edge of Garras- where we have lots of animals (dogs, cat, chickens, horses and soon to have pigs/sheep). We focus a lot on outdoors education and enjoy having lots of fun outside in the fresh air - whether thats climbing on the climbing frame, in the mud kitchen or working in the childrens own little garden patch! We offer a wide variety of nutritious home cooked meals and snacks - often using stuff we've grown in the garden! We have a large outdoor enclosed all weather play area as well as a spacious warm indoor play area with a wide variety of educational, age and stage appropriate toys. We follow the EYFS framework and therefore can offer 2,3 and 4 year old term time funded places to eligible children for up to 30 hours (3/4 year olds). We offer pick ups from Garras CP school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and also a wide range of holiday care.

Early Years Local Offer response

Frequent observation and open discussion with parents. Tapestry is used as our record keeping system for pre school children and available to parents to see observations, make comments and add their own observations from home.

- How we support children transferring to school
If available, we attend regular "learning together" sessions and we maintain a strong partnership with a lot of the local schools and child care providers which in turn helps us provide a strong supportive transition for our children. - Ways we inform parents about how their child is being supported
I like to have a strong communication relationship with parents, so we do a lot of discussion and feed back face to face at the end of the child's day. I use Tapestry online as a record keeping tool and the parents are able to access their own child's account and browse through the observations done and even make their own from home!
