Interactive Beach Weaving - Looe
Part one .
This is a FREE interactive beach project which with hopefully create two large scale art pieces to go on display during the Water Carnival. You will be working with heap loads of Local Artists and also the Water carnival team . The piece is inspired by the amazing Weaving work of Jo Atherton.
We will start by meeting at 10am on Saturday at Coffee Cake Create to collect materials and supplies for the day. We will walk down to the beach area. At the beach we will work together to collect material to wrap, twist and weave into our huge frame .
There is no experience needed and it should be lots of fun. If you are planning on attending please start collecting your Beach bits , anything is worth collecting as most things can be added and even if not then it is promoting Beach clean up e.g collect rope , plastic bags, feathers , shells , drift wood.
Part two tomorrow! Sunday at 4pm- 6pm meet on the beach
Please be aware there is a beach clean planned for the weekend before in Polperro, this is a GREAT opportunity to collect materials and get the area looking nice and safe for marine animals. More details on Water Carnival sit and Polperro Matters fb site.
Please wear sensible shoes and suitable clothing , depending on the weather . This is a completely Family friendly workshop but all children should be accompanied.
Once again it's entirely free so there is no excuse not to do something amazing for the environment and have fun.
