Glen Carne Housing & Support
Glen Carne provides supported accommodation and training to disadvantaged people in Cornwall who typically experience complex needs.
Referrals can be made through services dealing with homelessness, mental health, drug and alcohol move-on support, probation etc. Note that clients must be free from drug or alcohol use for approximately six months prior to acceptance into the service.
Glen Carne provides housing-related support and signposting to specialist services as necessary. The average stay is from 6-12 months, although this varies depending on the individual's support needs. Support is given when moving on from Glen Carne into the private sector or further supported accommodation as appropriate.
Partner providers supply various training on-site including Glen Carne's own tenancy accreditation course.
Glen Carne is located in a rural environment and has access to its own minibus. Public bus links are available from the site to Truro, Newquay, Redruth and surrounding villages.
