Kinsman, Mrs Lindsey Marie
Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

I have been childminding since October 2005 and worked in a pre-school for 4 years prior to becoming a childminder. Children are cared for in a family 'home from home' environment.
Activities are linked to a childs interests, age and stage of development, ranging from treasure baskets, ICT, toys, puzzles, role play, crafts, books and our latest project being a 'grow your own' vegetable patch in our outdoor area which also has sand/water tray, slide, play house and ride on toys.
We make regular visits to the park, beach, Children's Centre and meet up with other childminders and their children.

Early Years Local Offer response

Learning and development

Systems and strategies we have in place to identify children that may require additional support

I do regular observations to build up a developmental assessment on each child, this enables me to identify any areas that require additional help and also to create next steps for each child in order to enhance their development.

How we identify and support children's learning and development needs

I would identify any learning and development needs from observations that I regularly complete on each child in their learning journey, any needs would then be discussed with parents.

Links we have to other agencies

Awareness of Agencies and additional links and support can be accessed if required.

How we support children transferring to school

I keep records of the child's development which I share with both parents and pre-school.

Specialist skills or training our staff have

I ensure that my child protection and safeguarding training are kept up to date.

Support we offer regarding children's health and well-being

I ensure that my setting is risk assessed and also the outings that we go on are too. I teach the children road safety. I offer healthy food and offer activities to support being healthy.

Ways we inform parents about how their child is being supported

I inform parents via the children learning journey and daily diaries also by verbal communication.

Our complaints policy

I have a complaints policy that can be viewed at my setting which if Ofsted compliant
