Nuciforo, Miss Jennifer

Hi, my name is Jenny.  I have got a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies, paediatric first aid, food hygiene and ICP. I also attend regular training for my continuous professional development. I have achieved a grading of 'good' with ofsted.
I am a mother of five, Eliana who is 18, Isabella 15, Emile 10,  Emlyn 7 and paisley 4. I work alongside another childminder Teresa craze 2 days a wk and Lucy stammers 2 days a wk so there are 2 of us everyday. We childmind from my house.  We are a non smoking household.  I have worked with children for over 20 years straight from college after doing my BTEC National Diploma in childhood studies, I have worked in preschools and After school clubs. I was a nanny for a family with 3 boys for many years until I had children of my own, when I then began childminding.  I have been a childminder for 18 years now.

Childminding to me is offering a home to home environment, somewhere for parents to bring their children where they are going to be safe and happy, and be part of our family.  We have a lovely playroom where the children can get as messy as they like, make as much noise as they like, or just have some quiet time in the book corner. We believe children learn best through play, and most of our activities are lead by the children. We offer a range of activities for the children, playdough, painting, drawing, construction toys, puzzles, books, music, dressing up, role play, crafts, games, cooking. The list is endless.  We have a safe, secure outside garden space, where the children are free to roam in and out as they please.  I feel It is important for children to keep active so we do all we can to encourage outdoor play. We have a 15ft enclosed trampoline.  A slide, wobble bridge, monkey bars, sand tray, water tray, climbing wall, play house, and clamber net, tire swing and baby swing. We have lots of ride on toys, scooters, bikes, hoola hoops, balls and much more. We are very much outdoor people, so like to make the most out of Being outside.  We have resources suitable from birth up to secondary school.  we also have a variety of baby equipment.  Our set up here is suitable for all ages.  We provide travel cots, prams, car seats, high chairs, walkers, basically everything.  We have a park in walking distance to us where we enjoy having picnics, and there are also lovely walks near us through the fields and woods, where the children enjoy exploring the outdoors.
We take the children out and about everyday to toddler groups, singing and dancing groups, soft play, parks, beaches, woods national trust, maritime museum and many more,  we enjoy picnics when the weather is nice before doing the school run. The toddler groups we attend are Acorns, Budock, Zumbini,  pebbles, the family centre and more. During the school holidays we go on many outings such as paradise park, Maritime museum, Seal Sanctuary, Tehidy woods, Springfields, dairyland, trebah gardens, heligan gardens,  owl sanctuary, Eden, trelisick, blackberry picking, picnics in the park and much more.  The safety of your children is of paramount importance to us, we provide hi vis tabards, with our telephone number on for the children to wear on outings, and we have reins for the little ones.  I am very passionate about childminding, your children become part of our family, as we are a much smaller setting than a nursery, we build up a special bond with you and your children so I feel we have more of a personal approach.

If you would like to come and meet us, please give us a ring.  We look forward to meeting you.
