Healthy Weight (13-17 years)
Healthy Weight (13-17 years) is aimed at people aged 13 – 17 years old. During the programme, we will look at nutrition, healthy foods, portion sizes, food labelling, physical activity, and you will also have a choice of which topics you feel you would like more support around so we can adapt the programme for you.
Rather than focusing on weight loss, we take the approach of learning weight management skills. This includes inspiring you to adopt a healthier lifestyle and enjoy preparing and eating healthy foods, as well as reading food labels and healthy shopping on a budget.
We will meet 6 times for an hour, spread out over 12 weeks. This will be alongside another adult e.g. pastoral worker, school nurse, youth worker etc. This maybe at your school, college or another public venue.
The successful outcome of the programme will be that you go on to lead and sustain a healthier, happier and more active lifestyle.
