Braddock CofE Primary School Nursery
Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Our vision for our Nursery is to ensure that all children have the best possible start to their education. We are committed to igniting an enduring love of learning by ensuring achievement for all and hearing the voice of every one of our children.  We encourage them to share their interests and talents as part of our “Bring It!” philosophy.  Everything we do puts the child, and what they bring to school, first.

The nursery manager and practitioners create a bespoke and tailored curriculum offer, to support their learning. All adults use focused teaching episodes to introduce new learning. Children practice skills and apply their knowledge by completing individual activities and through continuous provision which includes elements of play. We believe the outdoors has a key and pivotal role to play in providing the rich practical experiences that are vital if children are to develop successfully.

The ability to communicate is critical if children are to be able to express their needs, share their ideas and feel safe. Our early years practitioners are passionate to develop early speech and language skills to enable children to flourish.

Learning to read is a key skill that we all require if we are to make the most of and succeed in our education. As a school we prioritise the early acquisition of reading skills that afford our children the confidence and ability to fully participate in all aspects of the curriculum and thereby secure their future.

We are committed to supporting parents to be part of their child’s education. This is reflected in our; extended transition process and home learning programme. Our EYFS online learning platform allows us and parents to share children’s successes and facilitates electronic communication between home and school.

This is how we develop children who are able to take responsibility for themselves, the communities in which they live  and the world in which they inhabit.
