Falmouth Library
Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Falmouth Library and Information Service (previously known as One Stop Shop) is the first Library and Information Service to transfer to a Town Council as part of Cornwall Council’s devolution programme, which is helping councils and communities take over local ownership, management and control of services.

Inclusion details

- How we make our service inclusive
All our services are physically fully accessible.
- Staff SEND experience
We are all qualified practitioners and we have been trained to promote equality and diversity. Unfortunately we are not able to provide a 1:1 specific support for children and young people with SEND, but we can adapt the activities according to their needs and help families to enjoy our facilities together.
We have books and resources specific for people with disabilities (e.g. audiobooks, dyslexic friendly books...)
- How our service supports providers / schools / colleges
We offer specifically tailored sessions for schools of all levels and we can provide resources specific for people with special education needs.
- Support at key transition points
We have resources available on different topics and we offer a wide range of activities for children, families and adults, focusing on health and wellbeing.
- Other local or national support
