Richardson, Ms Sadie Anne
Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Coronavirus status: Open for key workers and vulnerable children

I have been dedicated to working with children for over 16 years in a Nursery setting. I have chosen to become a childminder as I feel I can offer a more personal tailor-made, quality care for your child. I feel working from home enables me to provide a rich & varied experience for your child.

In 2009 I gained a foundation degree in Early Years Education. I have an accumulated knowledge of the Early Years - this enables me to give your child the educational start they need before starting full time education. I endeavour to keep up to date with current legislation and new policies through regular training.

I am a member of Morton Michel, through who I have my insurance, I have a full driving licence & business insurance.
I have lived in Newquay all my life. I am married and have two beautiful children , we have a dog called Bruce who Is a valued member of the Family and all the children love him, My parents live close by and are regular vistors .

I have a dedicated room for the children and a garden area which is enriched with play opportunities.
I have a son & a daughter who enjoy having other children to play with.  My move to Newquay has enriched our play opportunities. We are within walking distance of all the duck pound, gardens , park and zoo areas we regularly visit .

Early Years Local Offer response

Learning and development

Systems and strategies we have in place to identify children that may require additional support

Within the setting we use regular observations and assessments on each individual child to help identify any areas which may require extra support.

How we identify and support children's learning and development needs

Our setting uses the children's observations to develop planning to suit every child needs, each child's observations are taken and assessed to provide relevant and achievable next steps.

Links we have to other agencies

Within the setting we make links with outside agencies if required to support the child needs.

How we support children transferring to school

Every child is helped to develop in the three key areas of learning to ensure they are socially, emotional and physical ready for school.  Within the setting we strongly promote independence, self care and sharing.  Our class moto is share, share, share, care, care ,care.... Sharing is caring, we are always kind to our friends.  We introduce early literacy skills through fun play based act ivies.

Transition meetings are held with teachers and learning journals are shared with the teacher . We are happy for the teacher to visit the setting and for a member of staff to visit with the child .

We also have a class Teddy which can visit the school with permission from the school, he will take pictures of their new surroundings, which we make into a book so the children can look at before starting.

We will do our up, most to ensure every child transition to school is as smooth as possible, so everyone on their first day is a happy day.

Specialist skills or training our staff have

All staff are fully qualified in care care qualifications and are up to date with current training.

Ways we inform parents about how their child is being supported

Within in the setting we enjoy tell each parent what their child has achieved on a daily basis through face to face interactions, written daily dairies are for the under ones and over if requested. We send pictures via email so you can see your child's achievements too.  We also have a WOW  board which we write your child's WOW moments on for everyone to view, parents are also encouraged to add to this with achievements from home.

We adhere to the guidelines set out by Ofsted. All policy's and procedures are available on request.
