Richards, Ms Tina Joanne
Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
My name is Tina Richards. I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for 4 years and I have looked after many children of different ages ranging from 6 months to 10 years. I live in Goldsithney with my husband, Steve. Both Steve & I have been DBS checked.
We have 3 grown up children who have all left home and 6 grandchildren. We live within walking distance of the beach and woods which we take full advantage of. There is also a play park down the road where the children love to take picnics. In bad weather we have a range of arts & crafts and development activities such as games and jigsaws, and I encourage the children in cooking and life skills, I have a full range of toys and educational resources to hand, we attend play groups and some of the local attractions most days as we like to be out and about regularly, so that the children can have more variation.
Although our garden is not large we grow a selection of fruit and vegetables which the children love to help plant, water, watch grow then cook and eat.
With experience in having my own children and grandchildren I have found it so rewarding to be a part of their growth in which has led them to become well rounded caring children and adults. I have taken care of two of my granddaughters on a regular basis since they were babies to enable their mother to work/study.
We have 4 cats, Dave, Izzy, Freddie and Timmy, They are child friendly but if they don't like a situation they take themselves off to bed!
DBS registered, Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, ELDP 1,2,3, Diploma in Home Based Childcare, Integrated working, CAF, Child in care certificate, EYFS, Eating well for under 5 years & Food Hygiene certificate.

Early Years Local Offer response
- Systems and strategies we have in place to identify children that may require additional support
I have a good working relationship with the parents and talk regular to discuss concerns, making sure personal records are updated. I follow the EYFS guidelines and observe any changes regularly with input from parents, so we can act on any needs together.
- How we identify and support children's learning and development needs
Nobody knows a child better than the parents, so I feel it is important that communication is maintained throughout, I make sure that my parents are regular updated on any progress achieved or indeed any concerns that may arise whilst the child is in my care. Regarding the child's development and learning abilities. I provide a bespoke service catering for each child's individual needs rather than a general one that I feel could be detrimental to the child's future progress.
