I can cater for additional needs by supporting individual children and families. SEND training / obversations to identify children who are not reaching development stages. Visual supports, behaviour Management strategies. Children are welcomed as individuals and treated equally and respectfully.

My training and skills are of importantance for the settings outcome. I attend training to fit in with my working hours and family life. The mandatory-Safeguarding and Child Protection. Paediatric First Aid, Food Safety. Continual personal development includes- A First Class Honours Degree (Bachelor of Arts in Professional Practice in Early Childhood) - completed 2020.

Childrens health and well being are essential for effective learning and development. I ensure emotional attatchments and relationships are formed within my setting with myself and other children. Positive learning through a healthy secure environment wiill ensure successful outcomes for each child.

Contact with parents using Photographs/quotes/mark making etc.

As required by Ofsted my setting has a complaints policy. should a verbal complaint not be resolved, forms are accessible from the setting.

A ramp can be made available to access the bungalow. My setting is accessible and accomodating for children with additional needs. My garden is secured with gates.

Personal care can be catered for in the bathroom as it is on ground level.

Toys/equipment are accessible and labelled with photgraphs/pictures. Visual time lines/traffic lights/spot count downs are available. Pushchairs/car seats are available. Personalized specialist equipment can be stored securely for regular use when provided by parents/organisations.

Risk assessments ensuring suitability for childrens needs will be made, covering parking/accessability for wheelchairs/personal care facilities/appropriate equipment.
