Cornwall People First is a user-led self advocacy charity for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. Cornwall People First offers a range of Easy Read services. Easy Read is a form of accessible information for people who find reading difficult. Good quality Easy Read information can make a service for people with learning disabilities accessible. This can include leaflets and brochures, working documents, promotional information, websites and signage. We can translate an existing document or text, or we can create something completely new for you.

As well as producing Easy Read information for our members, we have been commissioned by orgnisations that include NHS England, NHS South Devon and Torbay Clinical Commissioning Group, Healthwatch Cornwall, Cornwall & Isles of Scilly SENDIASS, Living Options Devon, Cornwall Housing, Pentreath, Devon & Cornwall Police, and Cornwall Council. Easy Read materials we have created include the Devon-Wide Transforming Care Partnership Plan, Cervical Cancer information leaflet, NHS Changes to your local GP letter and Q&A sheet, Annual Health Check information sheet; Durlston Cliff Top Train leaflet and map, and Access to Work Portfolio of Peer Support.

We also provide an Easy Read training and consultancy service, which can be delviered wherever you choose.
