Kids Yoga Cornwall

Kids Yoga Cornwall takes yoga into schools for workshops and clubs. We also run children’s yoga classes on Saturdays and throughout the school holidays.

Kids Yoga Cornwall believes yoga is fully inclusive.  All children can do yoga to their own ability. Children don’t need to be fast, have a good hand to eye coordination or be physically fit.

Yoga can increase confidence. Children are encouraged to be vocal during a class and express their emotions physically. Through creative visualisation techniques, I help children believe they are unique and special.

Yoga improves concentration. Balancing postures help children to focus their mind and concentration techniques keep the mind in one place instead of letting it wander.

Yoga is fun! There is a big emphasis on children having fun in class, we take children on wild adventures and encourage them to use their creative imagination.

Our classes bring stories to life through specially developed moves inspired by yoga. Combining fun with exercise, children go on adventures where they may roar like a lion, fly like a bird or blast into outer space!

With the older children, the classes flow away from the stories and move into more involved yoga practices such as improving their focus and practising yoga themselves individually.

The introduction of partner yoga is brought in which then encourages teamwork and understanding of working with others. Yogic techniques are taught which include breathing and meditation to help relieve stress. Relaxation time is more detailed so they can practice these themselves at home or whenever they need.

Kids Yoga Cornwall works in association with Cornwall's Children's University and is proud to be a Passport destination!
