Active Plus - Positive People Project
Active Plus is a Community Interest Company delivering 1:1 and group support across Cornwall, led by our team of military veterans who have extensive skills bought forward from their time in service. They deliver highly engaging team and personal development training, focusing on using positive strategies to develop teamwork, motivation, confidence and communication skills.
Our Change Coaches on the Positive People Project work one to one with participants to refocus, up-skill and encourage work and training goals, turning lives around and giving people the confidence they need to excel. The team of Change Coaches work with their participants to research and apply for work, write CV’s and personal statements, encourage training opportunities and work alongside our partners on the Project to provide specialist support with debt/money management, housing, service leavers, mental health, well-being and addictions. Working under the Building Better Opportunities programme, the Positive People Project with Active Plus is currently offering one to one support in the Coast to Coast area of Cornwall.
Our Veteran Specialist Change Coach is working with ex-military personnel supporting their transition to civilian life and the challenges that can arise with this. Alongside this support for the individual, the Family Matters Project extends support to the family of the veteran.
We also run Confidence and Motivation Courses over a six week period, using team activities to really build skills and personal confidence.
Please get in touch to find out more and have a chat about signing up with us. This is a free service available to anyone out of work and education over 18 years old.
