Choose Nature CIC
We are a community interest company that means we are non-profit and partly funded by grants and sponsorship. It was established by Claire Whalley (Badger Forest School) in 2021.
Mission: We work to increase the well-being of individuals, communities and the environment by inspiring life-long learning and care in our calm enriching outdoor spaces.
We believe that outdoor learning and positive play possibilities provide hands-on opportunities to increase knowledge across a range of subjects, whilst gaining valuable self-confidence and practical skills. It also instills the sense of wonder that is proven to create greater awareness and guardianship of nature as individuals progress through life. We have also found that it can provide a very effective backdrop for delivery of intensive therapeutic support to people with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs.
