Hello Mum's, Dad's, Grandparents and Carers :)
I am a Mummy myself coming out of working in nursery’s and child care settings. I have lots of experience working with children here in the UK & overseas, I spent some time working in Children’s homes in India & Africa before having my own child and settling here in Cornwall.
The outdoors is a big part of our day, we visit woods I have done some forest school training. We go to a lot of beautiful gardens, beaches, animal sanctuary’s & soft play. We take our craft and stories with us to enjoy being creative as we go about exploring and learning.We also attend sensory music and movement groups, I aim for each child in my care to have this opportunity once a week as part of our learning & we visit other play groups to encourage building social skills.
I also network with other childminders who are connected with “QCC network” (Cornwall Council Quality Childminding network)
Currently I have Children in my care from 7am-6pm Monday - Thursday(term-time) Friday is my admin day, Although I do aim to meet all family’s needs, so please discuss with me what your requirements are, if possible we could maybe come to an arrangement outside of these hours.
In the school holidays I do offer childcare on a Friday. I also have the facility to over night care should this be needed, I am registered and graded “Good” by Ofsted, I offer 15/30hour funded spaces. I network with and have children sharing weekly childcare needs with myself and other local providers, so I offer wrap around care, pick up’s and drop off’s to families looking at splitting their funding across settings. I have good working relationships with the local Nursery & School & Pre-School.

Early Years Local Offer response

Each term I track children's progress against the Early years framework. If any concerns arise I look to seek support for the child and families.

I identify needs by listening to the parents and careers concerns through observation and tracking development, recording my findings.

We have access to local SENCO groups with links to other professionals to gain advice and direction to provide the best care possible for every child.

Meetings will be set up with the school and where needed a key person assigned to the child's welfare. Then we arrange visits for that key person to my setting to discuss transition and build relationships and familiarity before transition.

The front door is accessible with a wheelchair and the patio of the outdoor space, steps can be used to access the lower garden and fire pit area.
