Part-time Courses at Truro and Penwith College
With our part-time courses for adults, you can develop a skill, further your career, or simply try something new. Awarded for outstanding care, education and guidance, our dedicated staff will make sure that your learning experience is enriching and enjoyable.
Whether you want to learn horse care or accounting, we have a wide selection of subjects available for study. Our part-time courses vary in length, from day classes and summer schools to year-long Diplomas, so there’s bound to be a course to suit your needs. We teach in many different venues across mid and west Cornwall, including village halls, community centres and even Trelissick Gardens.
If you’re looking to develop your professional skill set, we offer part-time courses and qualifications to help you achieve your career goals. From business, law and management to marketing, computing and science, our courses cover a wide range of industries. Short seminars and classes focus on specific areas in-depth, such as minute taking or pitching and presenting, allowing you to hone your skills. Our longer, comprehensive courses provide a wider understanding of a subject, at beginner, intermediate or advanced level.
Learning doesn’t have to be about the bottom line. Many of our courses are designed to teach you useful skills, allow you to engage with your community and, ultimately, be enjoyable. Reconnect with nature on A Day of Wild Crafts, learn a new language, or sharpen up your needles and get knitting. Our leisure courses are also a great way to get together with friends, or make new ones, and develop a hobby.
The tuition fees for some courses may be waived if you are unemployed and on FSA/ESA, unemployed and on another state benefit, 19-23 without a full level 2/3 qualifications, or under 19 years at 31 August that year.
