Susie Project (Survivors of Domestic Violence / Abuse)
The SUsie Project works with women and men who have experienced domestic abuse and who have left their partner. We help re-build their self esteem and confidence through outreach initially, then through their attendance at drop in support groups.
The Toolkit is a 12 week programme which looks at various topics including:
- What is Abuse
- Self Esteem
- Effects of Abuse on Children
- Anger & Conflict
- Boundaries & Trust
- Setting Goals
- Healthy Relationships.
It incorporates elements of CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy)
We have access to a range of translation facilities and childcare can be arranged.
Groups are delivered through Children's Centres and Community Centres countywide.
Age range: 18 years - 65 years.
Please phone the SUsie office on 01209 699241 to make a referral.
