Pregnancy Crisis Care (Plymouth & South East Cornwall)
Providing free, confidential, impartial counselling and support to those facing any pregnancy-related crisis or loss - including unexpected pregnancy*, pre and post-abortion and pregnancy/baby-loss, as well as support for those who are depressed and anxious within a current pregnancy. Our services are available for recent/current or historical issues.
Covers Plymouth and South East Cornwall, and is open to all ages. You are welcome to attend sessions alone or with a partner, carer, parent, friend or support worker. Zoom video and telephone appointments also available.
* we are a counselling and support service. We are not an abortion provider or part of the medical services involved in abortion. However we do signpost clients on to other services.

Plymouth city centre location. At the top floor of the Kinterbury House building - where City Dental Practice is.
Nearby to the Barcode building. Street parking also available. Based on 2nd floor, (there is no lift), so service users will need to be able to climb stairs.
Telephone and online Zoom sessions and counselling/support available for those who are unable to attend the centre face to face.
We continue to offer telephone and Zoom video counselling sessions as an ongoing way of provision of counselling for clients.

Appointments available Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm. Some later appts available via Zoom video calls.
1 hour session appointments
Appointments will be made to suit clients, as best as possible. Depending on the needs of the client, occasionally there may be a short time to wait for allocation to a Counsellor (2-3 weeks). However, when there is an urgent need or timescales to consider, we will always try our best to see clients quickly - usually within a couple of days.
Initial assessment appointments are offered, and if client would like to continue with sessions, then allocation to a Counsellor/Practitioner for long- or short-term work, dependent upon need.

Self-referrals welcome. Also referrals from GPs and other Health services or statutory or voluntary organisations welcomed.
Due to an increase in referrals, we have a waiting list of approx 12-14 weeks. Please call or email in and we will send you a first contact form to be completed and returned to us. An initial assessment appointment will be made as soon as possible, and then allocation to a regular Counsellor after this appointment.
Our offices are open for face to face counselling sessions, and we continue to work remotely via telephone and Zoom video calls at present too.
