Coverack Primary School
Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Our small rural school is situated above the picturesque village of Coverack.  We aim to provide a secure, happy environment where children's imaginations and potential for learning can be stimulated.  Staff and Governors are committed to delivering the highest quality of education whilst ensuring each child is given the opportunity to develop as an individual in a community where everyone's welfare is equally valued.  We actively promote the arts and have a strong musical tradition.  The wider community abounds with talented artists, crafts people, writers and local experts, and we take every opportunity to enhance learning by making visits or inviting visitors into our school.

The school opened in 1876 and has been modernised over the years to make the most of the available space.  In 2000, a major community project, Coverack Space 2000, transformed accommodation in the school, providing an additional upstairs classroom, releasing downstairs space for use as a school hall. We are very fortunate to have our own kitchen, which provides excellent midday meals cooked on the premises.  We also have a playing field with playground equipment and school garden, all of which are used by the children daily.
