Trek West

We support people with a long term health condition or disability to take control of their lives, build confidence and skills and take a journey of discovery towards greater economic and social fulfillment.

Trek West will help you achieve this by

  • Offering a professional and friendly guide who will help to support you on a one-to-one basis
  • Providing you with your own personal plan to help set out where you want to be
  • Helping you to maximise your household income
  • Providing training opportunities shaped around your needs.

We have identified six areas which affect all of our lives:

  • Money
  • Employment
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Knowledge and Skills
  • Home Environment
  • Personal Interest

How can I get involved?

If you think you or someone you know might benefit from this project, there are some criteria to consider. You will need to

  • Live in West Cornwall
  • Have a long term health condition or disability which affects your life
  • Be willing to make changes to improve your situation, but just need some support to get where you want to be.

If you are a professional working with people affected by the above, please do talk to them about the project and refer them in.

Please be quick as places go fast!

Updated August 2016 - this has now expanded to include the following areas

  • Truro to Redruth
  • Falmouth
  • Perranporth (not Newquay or the Roseland)
