Learning and development

Systems and strategies we have in place to identify children that may require additional support

• Individual record cards and ECaT forms to track progress through the term • Regular summative reports shared with parents and linked to EYFS outcomes • Observations linked to EYFS broad phases of development • Tracking sheets to identify children who may need support or areas where more children may need support indicating potential issues that need to be addressed within the setting

How we identify and support children's learning and development needs

• Observation and planning for each individual child, recorded next steps and progress towards these • Montessori Curriculum complements EYFS areas of learning and is a graduated approach which naturally plots children’s progress • IEPS where appropriate for specific areas where children may need extra support

Links we have to other agencies

• Work closely with all agencies as required: SALT, Physio, Hearing Support, Vision Support, OT, Health Visitors • Good links with local schools and pre-schools
