St Issey Mini Diggers Nursery
Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

At St Issey C of E school our nursery facility 'Mini Diggers' has just celebrated its first birthday (July 2018). It's been an exciting year with lots of work put in to create the perfect environment for our children to grow and learn.

We facilitate children from the age of 2 to children starting school, offering funding in line with the government initiatives for 2 and 3/4 year olds for both 15 and 30 hour entitlements.

Our aim at nursery is to provide children with a calm home styled environment in which to flourish. With our ethos being to ensure all children are provided with a stimulating continuous provision both indoors and outdoors, focusing on the seven areas of leaning within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) providing encouragement and support.

Mrs Sole our Nursery Manager has over 10 years experience of working with children from 2- 5 years old and has a dedicated and highly qualified team supporting her in delivering the best quality care for our children. We strive to support our children in becoming independent learners to ensure they are given the best possible start in life learning skills they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Mrs Sole is also trained as a forest school teacher. This has led to the desire to create  a new woodland area for not only the nursery but the whole school to enjoy. Funding has been secured to enhance this area with the incorporation of a yurt style building to our woodland area to support and develop our year round outdoor exposure to the joys of natural learning so our 2018/19 academic year will see further growth in the experiences our children will enjoy.

If you have any questions about our nursery please don't hesitate to contact Mrs Sole on the details below. Come and have a look around and see for what a special nursery we have.
