disAbility Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Fully Funded Training Sessions

5 Degrees West is a partnership between Seahorse Associates Training & Development Consultants and Hayle-based charitable company, disAbility Cornwall & Isles of Scilly providing training and person-centred support to Employers and their Personal Care Assistants.

We will be hosting the following fully funded training sessions during the Winter of 2018-19.

These courses are fully funded through Skills for Care’s Independent Employer funding, which covers the direct costs of training your PAs and their qualifications, travel costs and the cost of hiring replacement support while your usual PA is attending training.

To apply for funding, you need to complete an application form and send it to Skills for Care. You can download the application form via their website:

It is accompanied by a guidance document which explains more about the funding and how to complete your application.

disAbility Cornwall can support you to complete the application form, but you as the employer must agree to the conditions of the grant.

Applications should be submitted by mid October to receive funding in time for a December start.

Contact us to book your place/s and to find out more about the funding (we can guide you through it). you can choose to do any or all of the courses available. we look forward to hearing from you soon.
