Surf Action - Supporting the health and wellbeing of the community in Cornwall
The primary objective of Surf Action is to promote and protect the physical and psychological well-being of the armed forces community and the wider civilian community. Surf Action provides bespoke route pathways to best facilitate the individual/family in making the best of their situation taking into account any barriers which they face. This pathway is now available to the wider community including children and troubled families
Surf Action promotes good mental health through personal development, education, employment and empowers its service users to lead healthy, fulfilled and independent lives; to become valued and active members of their community. Core to achieving this is the use of the Blue Gym concept and involving our service users in shallow-water surfing and other high intensity water-sports in the magnificent coastal environment around us.
Since being founded Surf Action has also championed social inclusion and cohesion . It has sought to help individuals, families and communities by providing educational information as a tool, with which to empower them to make positive changes in their lives and communities.
