Buzzy Volunteer days

Cornwall AONB's Wheal Buzzy Project are joining forces with Bosavern Community Farm to plant Wildflower plugs grown on the Farm all part of the work we are both undertaking to increase foraging habitat for mining (solitary) and other pollinators . This event is open to all and a great opportunity to have an active involvement in two unique projects to the area.

Wheal Buzzy is an AONB project with support from HLF funding, we are actively working to increase awareness and habitat for Cornwall's nationally important miner bee (Solitary Bee's) population. As part of this project we will be bringing together land owners and communities to create flower-rich habitats for solitary bees across the AONB. Through alterations to management of land to protect and enhance existing habitat for solitary bees, and through the creation of wildflower meadows at sites such as Bosavern Community Farm.

Bosavern Farm is a not for profit Social enterprise aiming to produce, support and promote local food in an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable way., including the promotion and protection of habitats for mining bees and other pollinators. Which play a key role in local food production in an environmentally sustainable way
