Compass - Employment Support Programme

COMPASS is an employment support programme for young people to find their direction into education, employment and training throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, with the focus on those with special educational needs, disability and/or social, emotional, mental health issues.

Our Youth Employment Officer will work with directly with individuals that need some motivation as well as practical help and support towards getting into a job or training that suits them. To be eligible, young people must:

  • be aged 15-24 years old
  • have the right to work in the UK
  • not be in education, employment or training (or are at risk of this)

We can help with seeking work and connecting with employers, training providers, education settings as well as many other providers that can offer support, setting up visits, taster days and work experience, as well as helping with application forms, writing a CV and covering letters, interviews, developing employability skills etc. and many other practical ways we can help.
