Bump to Baby Antenatal - Liskeard
Please note that all of the Bump to Baby courses have been postponed until further notice.
You can now find the presentations used in the Bump to Baby courses by pressing here.
You are invited to a free 3-week antenatal programme. This fantastic course at your local Family Hub provides parents-to-be with all the information and skills they need to feel confident about making the right choices for their new baby.
Delivered by Midwives, Health Visitors and Early Help Staff.
The Topics include:
- You and your growing baby
- Birth and beyond
- Feeding and caring for your baby
Antenatal classes (sometimes called parentcraft) can help you to prepare for your baby’s birth, and make healthy choices.
They can help you to stay healthy during pregnancy, give you confidence and information.
You can learn about the different arrangements for labour and birth, and the choices available to you. This can help you as parents to make your own birth plan and think about how best to support each other.
You may also meet some of the people who will look after you during labour, and who will support you in the days and weeks after your baby is born.
You'll be able to discuss your plans and any worries with professionals and with other parents.
Classes are also a good way to make friends with other parents who are expecting babies around the same time as you. These friendships often help parents through the first few months with a baby. Classes are usually informal and fun.
