Layland - Short Breaks
Layland gives ‘short breaks’ or respite to families with a child or young person who has a learning disability and/or physical health needs.
Layland is a large detached bungalow in a quiet residential area of Liskeard, just a short distance from the local amenities. The bungalow currently supports up to 4 children or young people per stay. It has a large outdoor area with parking for several cars and a mini bus. There is a wheelchair accessible ramp and wheelchair lift leading to the front door.
Several nurses will work on the unit to ensure your child/young person has the level of nursing support they need.
We are able to offer support to children and young people who have complex physical health needs and/or challenging behaviours, from the age of 3 - 18.
How to access a short break:
All referrals are managed by the Cornwall Council Short Break’s Panel and all referrals need to be made by your social worker.
