Wheelchair User Vehicle Access
As a wheelchair user, Scott Smith found himself isolated and excluded from getting out and about simply because he could not find an accessible and reasonably priced wheelchair accessible vehicle. After a great deal of research and searching he eventually took delivery of a vehicle that catered for his needs and the needs of his family and headed off for a holiday to remember to the West Coast.
After hearing from many other disabled people struggling to find an accessible vehicle, he came up with the idea of creating a website for other disabled people and their carers to buy, sell and locate dedicated dealers that specialise in supplying wheelchair adapted vehicles of all kinds.
On this website you can find like-minded disabled people selling their own wheelchair accessible vehicles, details of how to sell your own vehicle as well as information about how to gain an accessible vehicle via the Motability scheme as well as great help and advice to help you get the best vehicle such as:
- Will the wheelchair user be a passenger or driver?
- Are they happy to sit in the rear of the vehicle?
- How many passengers plus wheelchair user do you need room for?
- Is the wheelchair itself manual or electric?
Find out more by clicking the wheelchair accessible vehicles link highlighted left to take you directly to their website that includes a list of current vehicles for sale with contacts to find out more along with a handy mobility guide, reviews and much more for the disabled personal wanting to be more mobile.
