Dyslexia Cornwall
Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Our vision is of a Dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential. Our aim is to support the needs of dyslexic children and young people in education and their families, as well as adults who are out of work, in education, training or in the workplace. We raise public and professional awareness of Dyslexia and campaign for appropriate awareness of and provision for dyslexics in local schools and colleges and appropriate support in the employment sector. We offer advice and guidance to parents, partners and friends of dyslexics as well as dyslexics themselves.
We provide:
- Information and advice through our helpline, advice days and our website.
- Information sheets on a wide range of topics to do with dyslexia.
- Training workshops for those working in the statutory or voluntary sector, in business, and those in education or employment services.
- Signposting to screenings and assessments for children and adults.
- An annual conference for education providers.
- Talks and workshops on a wide variety of issues to do with dyslexia.
- A fully accessible website.
Cost: Advice and guidance are free, but there are charges for some of our services. See the Dyslexia Cornwall Website for more information.
