We are a small Pre-school in the village of Altarnun, you can find us attached to Altarnun Primary School. We have a small dedicated team of four staff members. Our setting is a lovely bright environment with a very welcoming outside area, with a giant sand pit, raised beds for growing plants and flowers, mud kitchen, climbing equipment and mark making areas. We also have full access to the school's playing field, including a woodland area and climbing equipment. We have close links with the adjoining school and join them for special occasions such as Harvest Festival and the annual Nativity. We are a friendly team with a parent led and hands on committee.

- Support we offer regarding children's health and well-being
We promote PSED by having reward systems in place, emotions puppets and books. All staff have safeguarding training, and the Manager and Deputy have Level 3. In our setting we have a conservatory which a variety of activities take place, but its also a place were children can go to rest and do quite activities. We do 2 yr checks and this information is shared with parents and we encourage sharing with health visitors. Each staff member has key children and keeps up to date records for them, these are shared with parents on a regular basis.

Through termly parent meetings, tapestry, annual reports, two year reviews, contact books and talking daily at the end of sessions.

Complaints procedure in policy, parents are informed on this when their child starts the pre-school and know where they are and how to access them.
- Alterations we have made to make our building accessible
We have three ways into our pre-school and two of these doors are accessible for wheelchairs, we have low level toilets, also an access ramp into the building. Our building has a lovely open plan layout, flowing into the outside area.

- How we include all children in activities, such as trips
We go on regular walks around the village, we visit different places like the woods and the beach. Parents always help with trips and all children and adults wear high visibility jackets.
