Burraton Community Primary School Nursery

Welcome to Burraton Community Primary School Nursery We are delighted that your child will be joining our nursery in September and very much hope that both you and your child will enjoy your time at Burraton. We are very proud of our school and aim to provide a caring and happy environment where your child can make friends and feel a valued member of the class and school. Your child’s well-being is an absolute priority for us and we place great value on the relationship between home and nursery. We look forward to developing a positive partnership with you and your child, helping them succeed in becoming a happy, confident individual with an enthusiasm for learning. At Burraton, we teach our children how to learn by providing them with strategies to develop their skills and the attitudes to use them. This supports our vision for our children to be independent learners who are involved in decisions about their learning. When children leave Burraton, we aim for them all to have the skills, self-discipline and confidence to be a success. We have high expectations of all our children and support every individual to excel. Progress and attainment is closely monitored and we keep children and parents informed regarding performance through a variety of different means. We do want our children to enjoy nursery, therefore, engagement through exciting activity and learning opportunities is a high priority. We know that high standards are achieved through a warm, friendly and disciplined ethos which our governors, staff and children contribute to through respectful and courteous relationships with one another. At Burraton, we have an open door policy. If you have any queries, you are welcome to phone or pop into school and we will endeavour to help you. If something is important to you, it is important to us too!
