Cornwall Council - Statutory Special Educational Needs (SEN) Service
Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Important Notice
The SEND service, like many services across Cornwall and the UK is currently experiencing higher than normal staff sickness which is having an impact on our service delivery. We are reviewing systems to mitigate this issue. We recognise the importance of timely communication however we respectfully thank parents and carers for their patience and support at this time.

The Statutory SEN Service is responsible for:

  • The Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment processes.
  • The maintenance and review of EHC plans.

The service works with educational settings, families, a range of services and other Local Authorities to ensure the effective working of the statutory arrangements for children and young people with the most complex SEN.

Further information about the above and supporting documentation can be found in Education, Health and Care (EHC) - assessments and plans

School admissions for children with an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan are handled by the Statutory SEN Service.

Further information can be found on the Education pages within the SEND Local Offer.
