How our service supports providers / schools / colleges

We have excellent links with our Secondary school and local colleges.

Support at key transition points

The school liaises with all local schools to help with our pupils transition.  The colleges also visit the schools and there is an introduction day planned so that children are familiar with the colleges before they start.  We also have a Parental Support Advisor available should parents/families/children whish to discuss any problems/concerns.

Other local or national support

We have a website that provides information and is regularly updated with curriculum and forthcoming events.

Resolving disagreements, mediation and making complaints

We would hope a formal discussion would help resolve any disagreements but if this does not work then we have a Complaints Procedure to cover any disagreements.

Medication is given to children upon completion of form completed by parents which will include all details: giving the child's name, type of medication, amount to be administered and timings.   All medication would be checked by the administering member of staff to ensure that the correct name, details of amount to be administered and that the medication is within date.

Complaints would be made under the Complaints Policy a summary of which is displayed in the Reception area and a copy is on the School's webbsite.
