Grade-Ruan CofE Primary School
Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Grade-Ruan Church of England School has an excellent reputation in the local area. The last OFSTED Inspection (October 2013) found Grade-Ruan to be "a GOOD school". The OFSTED report highlighted that "teaching is good with much that is outstanding" The report also states that "attainment is above the national average and is improving"; and "pupils are proud of their school".

The most recent Church inspection of Grade-Ruan (July 2015) noted that "the school, through its distinctive Christian character, is OUTSTANDING at meeting the needs of all learners".

The school prides itself on its levels of academic achievement as well as an extensive programme of care and support. The Christian ethos of the school permeates all areas of school life and is highly valued by children, parents and staff.

In September 2011 the school formed a partnership with three other local schools - Coverack, St Keverne and Manaccan. During the Summer Term 2013 St Martin School joined making us a five school partnership. Working together means that the Governors of Grade-Ruan are able to secure the school's future during the current uncertainty surrounding funding for small schools. It also offers our children wider opportunities with regards to sport, music, school visits and much more. The new partnership has had a very positive impact on our school. Mr Harman, the Headteacher, shares his time across the five schools and his designated day at Grade-Ruan is on a Wednesday. Mrs Sherlock is the Assistant Headteacher over our five school partnership and her designated day at Grade-Ruan is on a Friday.
