Garden Magic on the Mount
During May Half Term celebrate the colours that spring brings to the Mount's unique garden.
The garden lawn will become a hub of crafty activity as we take inspiration from the colours and patterns of the plants and flowers in the Mount garden.
Help create giant floor mandalas using our collection of beautiful natural materials such as pine cones, stones, shells, leaves and sticks.
Discover the colours in the spring leaves and use them to make original leaf prints on your garden flag, using the ancient Japanese art of Hapa Zome.
Investigate the glorious patterns and shapes of the succulents through our garden kaleidoscope. Arrange your choice of succulents then look down the telescope, spin the table and be amazes at the unique patterns you have created!
Create your own mini-mandala inspired by the patterns that you can find in the garden. Draw your patterns on a small wood disc to take home with you.
Our perfect pattern challenge uses a collection of patterns found in nature - can you match the pattern to the natural item on the trail?
