Lord Lieutenant's Fund for Youth

Cornwall is home to a diverse array of talented young people covering a range of activities including sport, the arts, science and beyond.

Some of the county’s brightest prospects, however, lack the means to pursue their dreams fully and that’s where the Lord Lieutenant’s Fund for Youth comes in.

Launched by then Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall Lady Mary Holborow and Vice Lord Lieutenant Michael Galsworthy in 2005, the fund provides support to particularly gifted under-23s in the county so that they’re better equipped to reach their potential.

Now under the stewardship of Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall Colonel Edward Bolitho OBE, the Lord Lieutenant’s Fund continues to offer support to Cornwall’s gifted youngsters and is always on the lookout for worthy causes to champion.

Applicants will need to meet a number of criteria to be considered for a grant. To be eligible applicants must:

-be resident in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly
