At Rebecca's Childminding service we welcome all children and have a wide variety of resources to cater for each indiviual child. Outside we have a decking area for bikes/trikes, sandpit & water area and a playhouse in the garden. We also attend lots of regualer community activities and events like the local gym, coffee morning at the chapel, music sessions and trips out in the community. I provide a personal service in a very well equipped home where children can learn safely and develop through play based activites. I have one assistant Nanny sue my mum.
My mum also does schools pick ups and drop offs to lizards school and Curry school, this in turn enables us to provide a very flexable serivice and quite often offer last minuet hours if required.
Busters Cottage is my childhood home and I pride myself on how Homely but yet is adapted to meet the needs of all children in my care.
I also work closely with the school to ensure smooth transition to school and also other settings and professionals if nessasary.

Early Years Local Offer response
- Systems and strategies we have in place to identify children that may require additional support
I would identify children that may require additional support thought the observation assessment and planning. I use a very welllnow online system called tapestry that not only allow all of us to assess it but the parents as well. This then creates a more holistic picture of the child not only in the setting but at home too. This system as so has a very good progress tracking which clear shows me and the parents where the child is.
- How we identify and support children's learning and development needs
As said above through observing the child and building up a picture of them is the best way of identifying needs. I also use a keyworkers system of which the child has a better sense of belonging but in this environment we are lucky with a small amount of children, three adults the children receive proseional personal care.
- Links we have to other agencies
I have strong policies in place. I addend regular training to ensure I have the lastest information to meet the needs of all children effectively.
- How we support children transferring to school
We work closely with the local schools to ensure a smooth transition is obtained. They have regular outings and also meetings in the setting to familiarise with the environment and surroundings. I also complete transition reports to the class teacher on entry to school and I formation share what is nessary wit her the parents permission.
