Adult ESOL courses in Truro
We offer ESOL classes for adults at Truro College. Our classes are at beginner, lower intermediate, higher intermediate and advanced level and we welcome learners of all nationalities. Our teachers are native English speakers with decades of teaching and teacher training experience in the UK and abroad.
We offer a range of qualifications, including:
- City and Guilds Functional Skills English
- City and Guilds Functional Skills Maths at Entry level 1,2,3 (for ESOL learners only)
- City and Guilds Award in Employability Skills
We are also Cornwall's only listed course provider for Trinity Secure English Language Test (SELT) preparation courses for people who are applying to the Home Office for UK Visas.
Come along and learn some English to help with your life and work in the UK! You will meet lots of other people from all over the world, get involved with the community and have some fun on our social programme!

Truro College is a modern site with several buildings which host a variety of full and part time courses for adults and young learners. The campus situated on the A390 between the hospital at Treliske and Threemilestone Industrial Park. It has numerous local bus services passing by at regular intervals and limited student parking may be available onsite via prior arrangement.
Fal is our adult (18+) Higher Education building and has a canteen serving hot and cold food on the ground floor. ESOL learners will also have access to our learning centres, Career Zone as well as our full HWS programme of Health, Well-being and Sporting activities which run all week.

Higher Intermediate ESOL: Tuesday 9.30--4.00 * (*includes tutorial and break times)
Advanced ESOL: Thursday 9.30- 4.00 * (*includes tutorial and break times)

- The cost of your course will depend on your status in the UK but the most you will pay for the general English class is £100 per month. This will be explained in more detail when you come for an interview. to test your level.

- You must bring your passport (or official national photo ID) and evidence of UK status. Those who have been living in the EEA (European Economic Area) for at least 3 years will need to evidence pre-settled status in the Uk to qualify for Functional Skills funding which can extend your course length for no fee.
