Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Welcome to Lostwithiel Primary School. We are proud to be part of the Cornwall Education Learning Trust. It is my pleasure and privilege to be the Headteacher of such a very happy school. The 5 Ps underpin all we strive to achieve here at Lostwithiel. Perseverance, passion, partnership, participation and pride are shown by our children and staff every day. Our pupils thoroughly enjoy learning and the staff enjoy working in partnership with them to facilitate their learning journey.
We are proud of our 'child led' curriculum which has been design with input from all the children at school. We are delighted to be accredited with the Ruth Miskin training badge for our success in teaching phonics in Key Stage One.
Our staff are committed to making learning exciting by planning inspiring topics enriched by extracurricular visits, visitors to the school and a diverse range of clubs for children to develop their interests and skills outside of the classroom.
Our outdoor learning space is exceptional and every child within our school knows about the environment and how we can take care of it. They work in the gardens and the woods to connect the curriculum to the natural world.
There is a very real sense of community within our school – we are a family school. However, we recognise our duty to raise awareness with regard to all aspects of community cohesion, celebrating children and their families who bring a range of cultures, religious beliefs and physical abilities to our school.
