- Notes
St Columb Minor Pre-School LTD is managed by a team of highly qualified, caring and experienced staff.
Safeguarding and the welfare of each child is at the forefront of our service and we promote a heuristic and natural approach to learning. We offer a "curiosity approach" and "Reggio inspired" ethos that embraces nature, wildlife and we are in favour of supporting our natural surroundings by being as environmentally friendly as possible. We are teaching our children to respect our environment and think outside the box.
All of our staff undertake regular training as well as first aid, SEND, child protection and food hygiene which are mandatory. We also have staff trained in special needs, sign language, emotions coaching and behaviour management.
On joining the setting your child will be allocated a Key Person, this grouping involves a member of staff taking responsibility for a specific group of children and being a consistent point of contact for parents/carers and a primary adult for your child. Children are allocated a Key Person according to their age; the groups are yellow and purple (pre-school groups) and red, green and blue (non pre-school groups i.e 2-3yr not going to school in the next cohort).
