Trengwainton Garden National Trust

With plants from around the globe scattered throughout this ten-hectare (25-acre) garden, there is something to inspire around every corner. Champion magnolias and vibrant rhododendrons make way for lush banana plants and soaring echiums. Unusually, the restored walled kitchen garden was built to the dimensions of Noah's Ark, and is today used to demonstrate contemporary varieties of fruit and vegetables. A colourfully bordered stream leads up to a shady pond and sunny terrace, with stunning views across Mount's Bay.
