Little Beebles Pre-school
Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Little Beebles Pre-school covers and follows all the areas of the EYFS.
We have free-flow play where the children can go in and out as they wish. We provide a prospectus which explains all about our pre school, the staff, committee and what they do and the day to day running of the pre school.
Each child has their own Learning Journey which shows all the things they do at preschool and their development through play.
We write observations and take photographs linking them to the EYFS so you can see all the fun things your child does.
We achieved 'Good' in our last Ofsted inspection which was in 2019.

Early Years Local Offer response
- Systems and strategies we have in place to identify children that may require additional support
Little Beebles staff carry out regular observations on all the children through their play activities. This allows them to make sure that the children are developing their learning in all area required in the EYFS.
Each child is assigned a key worker who works with the parent to build a relationship and work together to support their child's needs.
- How we identify and support children's learning and development needs
All new children are invited to visit the setting before they start.
We ask the parents to assist us by giving us some information about their child what they likes to play with, favourite toys and dislikes this helps us to help them settle.
We work to support your child by carrying out observational assessments which will help us identify each individual child's needs.
We work alongside lots of Early Years professionals so if there is any need for additional help and support for your child we would be able to seek advice and help with the parents permission
- Links we have to other agencies
We have access to the Early Years Hub which provides us with additional support and information when we need it.
This provides links to many other professionals who can provide help and advice.
- How we support children transferring to school
We have an excellent link with Crowan School as we are based on-site.
We have regular visits from the reception class teacher so the children get to know them and all of the other teachers within the school as we see them.
The school provide sessions for the children and their parents to visit the school together in the summer term to help with transition and we also pass on the relevant information to the teacher when required
Learning and development
- Specialist skills or training our staff have
All staff are first aid trained.
We are all up to date with Safeguarding and Child protection training.
We have a basic knowledge of Makaton
We also have awareness of SEND and use the appropriate resources when required.
- Support we offer regarding children's health and well-being
All staff are first aid trained and this is updated every 3 years.
We provide information to parents regarding specific childhood illnesses.
We keep accident record and medication records.
We have policies on healthy eating and work within the EYFS for the child's health and well-being.
- Ways we inform parents about how their child is being supported
We have daily chats to parents at the end of sessions to let them know how their session has been and also display this in the window so the parents can read in their own time
Reports are written by the staff and given to the parents these show how their child is doing in every area of the EYFS, next steps and a comment from their keyworker. There is also a space for the parent to write their own little comment. We have also introduced face to face meetings with parents.
- Our complaints policy
We have a complaints policy available to read at any time they require
Welfare
- Alterations we have made to make our building accessible
We would make every effort to make necessary changes to how the child, staff or parent could access the building.
The school's main entrance has a ramp and then level access to the Pre-School room.
The School has an accessible toilet and there is an accessible parking space very close to the Pre-School.
- Facilities we have for personal care
We have two low level toilets and wash basins for the children to make toileting easier for them.
We have a changing unit for nappies.
We support parent in helping their child to become toilet trained offering advice and information.
- How we include all children in activities, such as trips
We make sure that everything we do is age appropriate for all of our children and that all children are included.
When we go out on outings we would make a risk assessments to identify any possible dangers.
