Victoria Sims - Little Ducklings
Services and organisations that have the Local Offer flash have filled out inclusion information, meaning that they meet the needs of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Hi I'm Victoria. I am an ofsted registered childminder, I live in Crowntown, Helston with my partner, our 2 children, our dog and cat.

I offer a home from home setting where children learn and develop in life skills. I have a dedicated play space in my home with a variety of resources for the children to explore, I also have a nice garden with outdoor toys and a vegetable patch.

I like to have a focus on outdoor learning. I enjoy taking the children out for adventures and help them grow in confidence using nature.I believe children thrive when they are offered the freedom to learn.

While home we also enjoy lots of arts and craft, baking, stories and song time and our wide range of toys.

I also take the children to a large socialising group once a week so they able to make new friends and play and learn in a different environment.

I myself regularly attend meetings and training courses to keep myself up to date.

As a newly relocated childminder I am still making connections with relevant bodies.

How we support children transferring to school

I build a close relationship with the school the child is leaving my setting for to ensure they have enough information on the child. i also encourage lots of independent play and allow children to make choices about the day and how it will be for them.

Support we offer regarding children's health and well-being
