Early Years Local Offer response

Learning and development

Systems and strategies we have in place to identify children that may require additional support

We offer a thorough support network for both children and parents.  Observing and assessing children continuously ensuring their goals set are met and if not make referrals to speech therapists, behavioural therapists etc.

How we identify and support children's learning and development needs

We make précise and in depth assessments of children ensuring we are supporting their learning and development affectively to aide each child to achieve their full potential

Links we have to other agencies

Links to speech, behaviour, area Senco support and Autism team when required

How we support children transferring to school

Children are encouraged to take part in different activities such as having lunch time in the main school, practicing changing into PE clothes throughout the summer term and sharing books etc from the school.  Lots of activities involve using there main school site.  We also ask the Reception Teacher to come up and share stories in the summer term.  We share detailed information on each child with their future school reception teacher
