Taylors of Grampound

Outstanding private home care and support for people in our community

Taylors of Grampound is reinventing Homecare. We want people to be able to grow old in their own homes with affordable care and support whenever they need it. Seeing the extra lease of life this gives to families is the reason we’re so passionate about what we do.

Covering Cornwall and beyond, we’ve been the home care provider of choice to thousands for nearly three decades. Our carers go the extra mile for our customers and get to see first-hand the peace of mind that they’re ongoing support provides.

The beginning

Taylors of Grampound is a leading private home care company based in Cornwall founded in 2003 by Trish Taylor. Trish had many years of experience in the health sector and struggled to accept the standards of personalised care within the community. From this, the concept of Taylors of Grampound was born. With the creation of the company, Trish was able to employ people that were caring and dedicated to helping others remain in their own home.

Trish retired in 2017 passing the business on to a new generation, her Daughter and Son-in-law. Claire Taylor-McHale and Kevin Taylor-McHale are the owners and Directors of Taylors of Grampound. Claire and Kevin learned from both personal and professional experience the importance of a reliable, responsive and top-quality support service for people within the community. They share a desire to improve the quality and value of care across Cornwall and are inspired to build the Taylors of Grampound business.

Claire and Kevin both know that finding the right care and support can be challenging and are determined to grow a new type of care and support business that can improve the way in which we look after one another across our communities. They want to make the process of getting a trusted high-quality service easier whenever people need it.

Experienced home care specialists

Our management team has extensive experience in the care sector. Regularly working with clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) and continuing healthcare (CHC) teams, we also arrange packages of NHS funded home care.

Regulated services

Unlike introductory agencies, every part of our service is regulated, inspected and rated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Our management team has a hands-on approach and not only meets every potential client and maintains regular contact once the personal care plan has been implemented, but they also carry out support on a regular basis in order to carry out reviews and quality auditing. We are firmly rooted in ethical policy, equality and a fair provision of care and support services.
