Promas Caring for People CIC

Multi-award-winning Promas CIC supports unpaid carers in Cornwall.

Caring for a family member or friend requires specialised skill. It is often unexpected and comes with no training on how to cope. Unpaid carers often experience depression, anxiety and a multitude of physical illnesses brought on by their caring role. We offer a range of free services to help carers with physical and psychological wellbeing; practical, recreational and emotional.

Central to our working ethos is our commitment to the inclusive working and the principles of equality and diversity; this is at the core of all our work.

Our Services

Courses for unpaid carers

Mentoring is essentially about helping people to develop more effectively. It is a relationship designed to build confidence and support the mentee, so they are able to take control of their own development and work.

Through mentoring and guidance carers will develop an awareness of the impact that caring has on their lives, develop awareness of personal barriers. Carers will be able to learn new coping strategies and the importance of caring for themselves using healthy strategies in order to promote resilience and move forward in their lives.

Social events for unpaid carers
