There are a number of businesses and individuals offering support in your local community during this time.

  • Young People Cornwall are offering extended hours of their online chat system to 9am to 9pm. They offer information, advice and guidance on any topic affecting a young person at this time.

  • Addaction (now called We are with You) are offering online chat support at this time and have a range of advice on their website.

  • Citizens Advice Cornwall have information on their website and will offer a call back within 48 hours (excluding weekends). Text ADVICE to 78866, or DEBT to 78866 depending on your query.

  • Infant Feeding: Infant Feeding Support for newborn feeding families is available, it’s just different! Puts you in touch with our feeding support team of midwives and specialist maternity support workers who can support via email, phone, text and other mutually agreed platforms whilst Covid-19 restricts our usual support networks.

Blisland Community Shop & Post Office - Free Delivery Service
Make a list of what you need and call the shop on 01208 851730. If you can, do this before 11am. We will make up your order and call you back to tell you how much it comes to and we’ll give you an approximate delivery time. One of our volunteers will drop your shopping off to you. You can pay them by cash or cheque. If this causes you a problem, just let us know. We're here to help during these uncertain times, if you need anything at all, just call the shop and we will do our very best to help you. 

St Breward Community  Offering support to vulnerable and isolated persons
We are collecting a list of individuals who may require assistance, whether that is with delivering essential items, collecting essential medical prescriptions or anything else considered essential. If you know of someone, please contact Veronica Stansfield at to ensure that the individual is added to the list of individuals who may require help.

The Pantry in Bude - Offering and accepting donations for care packages
We are currently collecting basic supplies such as tinned and dried food and basic toiletries to create care packages for those in need, and we ask if you have any spare to please contact us so we can arrange drop off/pick up.Furthermore, if you need a care package as you are vulnerable/at risk or know someone who might need one, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We shall ensure that we take extra precautionary measures to make the risk of transference of the virus low.

In this period of uncertainty with this virus if any of our older customers are worried about coming out to the post office or need anything at all please don’t hesitate to ring us or contact us in the post office.
